nina simone
Such a touching story, a look at and through the eyes of Nina Simone
Watching some of the Documentary’s kinda get to
understand the Emotions of the Times.
like in 1964 Nina Simone addressed the racial inequality that was prevalent in the United States with the song “Mississippi Goddam”, her response to the murder of Medgar Evers and the bombing of a church in Birmingham, Alabama that killed four black children.
The song was released as a single, and it was boycotted in certain southern states. “Old Jim Crow”, on the same album, addressed the Jim Crow Laws.
I’m always interested in good music, videos and news, Please drop me an email if you find anything that would be of interest, thanks
